摘要：
Four years ago the section 2 "Forest and wood industry" of French Academy of Agriculture has decided to produce a digital book "Forest and wood in France in 100 questions". It has just reached its main goal with the launch of 105 articles. The aim of this e-book, is in the heart of the missions of the Academy: make available knowledge to our citizens and promote the science-society dialogue.

This book aims to answer without bias, on scientific and technical bases, and most actual, to questions often expressed in the public opinion, the media or that may arise in the minds of curious citizens. 
The book is in the form of short articles of four pages, each article answering a question. The questions are grouped into ten chapters covering the most important issues in the field of forestry and timber, economic, environmental, societal or governance-related. Some questions relate to different geographical scales: France, Europe, or World. The articles are designed to be read independently of each other, but links between them are indicated when relevant. The e-book has a bit more than 400 pages which have involved more than 60 authors; half of them are academicians and the others, external experts.

The book "Forest and wood in France in 100 questions" is available today only on internet on the website https: //www.academie-foret-bois.fr/. Each article (in pdf format) can be downloaded free of charge……..in order to find eventually some IAWS fellows as translators or adptators! It will be then possible to ensure a broad international dissemination of the e-book.
