摘要：
　　本文从公认的文化符号角度切入，通过文化与符号的关系诠释了文化的定义。通过对索绪尔、皮尔斯、列维-施特劳斯等符号学中6位著名人物及经典理论的介绍和解读，结合家具产品与设计案例深入浅出地阐述了符号哲学—人—文化哲学三者密不可分的关系，并对符号进行认识和研究。试图从广域的时空角度，探讨木材作为一种文化的载体所蕴含的文化符号价值。

In this paper, started with the acknowledged perspective of cultural symbol, described the definition of culture by the relationship between culture and symbol. By the introduction of six famous figures in classical theory of semiology include Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles Sanders Peirce, Claude Lévi-Strauss and combining with the furniture products and design case, described the inseparable relationship of the symbols - people - cultural clearly, and studied and researched on symbols. With the perspective of wide area of space and time, trying to discuss the cultural value of wood which stands for a cultural carrier.

个人简介：
　　耿晓杰，女，1974年出生于黑龙江，1999年获得北京林业大学工学硕士，后留校任教，2006年获得北京林业大学工学博士学位，现任北京林业大学材料科学与技术学院家具设计系副教授，硕士生导师，北京林业大学最家具设计工作室主持设计师。曾于2007年12月赴芬兰赫尔辛基艺术与设计大学做访问学者一年。出版专著《百年家具经典》，《家具设计大师作品解析》。

Ms. GENG Xiaojie, born in Heilongjiang Province in 1974, got Beijing Forestry University master degree in 1999, and got Engineering Ph.D. degree in 2006. And now she works as associated professor in Furniture Design Faculty of Beijing Forestry University. She also is the leader of Beijing Forestry University ZUI DESIGN Furniture Design Studio. She had gone to Finland as a visiting scholar in the Art and Design University of Helsinki for one year in 2007. She had published 《Hundred Years Classic Furniture》 and 《Analysising the Works of Furniture Design Master》.
