摘要：In Italy there is a long tradition in the construction of wooden doors but the idea of a fire rated wooden door was born in the late 80’s.

The studies of the Wood Technology Institute in Trento (now CNR IVALSA) with a few visionary new companies like SanCo CT SpA, clarified that fire rated wooden doors were possible and should have been a great business opportunity.

The fire performance grows up to 120 mins but also sound proofing capabilities were analysed, now reaching up to Rw 50dB. Safety issues for escape routes and access control system, always with a very high quality and beauty standards, are now typical of fire rated wooden doors.

The principles of green building, the thermal values and a full customer-oriented approach are the new frontier for the manufacturers.

Now handcraft processes became industrial:
- the core materials changed to reduce weight and costs;
- a lot of new finishes can be used, as the new architectural tendencies ask;
- not only materials and finishes but also new types of doors, e.g. to grant the alignment of the door with the wall both sides, and new hardware like concealed hinges and doors closers.

The future goals of SanCo CT SpA are:
- quality and product range improvement;
- easy customization of industrial products;
- use of new products like Thermo Structural Surfaces and stone-veneers
- development of new fire resistant materials for the cores
- investing  in “green” products

　　Michele Chemolli先生1995年毕业于意大利特伦托大学。毕业后进入San.Co.工程技术有限公司工作，工作主要涉及防火木材/玻璃产品方向。2000年到2004年间，他曾在一家生产木制门窗的意大利企业担任总裁，这家企业是意大利最早应用CE标志的企业。2005年Michele Chemolli先生重新回到San.Co.工程技术有限公司工作，他将公司的战略重心放在防火木材/玻璃制造和金属机械出口方面。Michele Chemolli先生现任西班牙Zanini集团旗下企业San.Co.工程技术有限公司执行总裁，公司主营木质门的生产制造。

　　Michele Chemolli先生曾任意大利防火门制造商协会主席，同时也是欧洲门窗卷帘联合会技术委员会成员、欧洲标准化委员会技术委员会127 WG 3 TG 5防火木制门扩展应用小组和127 WG 3 TG 8防火玻璃门扩展应用的成员。

　　Michele Chemolli先生主要的工作重心在意大利和欧洲地区，他与工作小组一起致力于耐火木质门和非承重隔离物新标准的发展。
