报告摘要：Wood is a material that has a long history associated with the development of human culture since ancient civilizations to the present. Ever since human history  stated already, wood is an integral part of human life because it is hard but has the flexibility, rigid but formable, rich in variety and kinds of. Also having beauty of colour and grain. The nowadays lifestyles who want back to nature and respect for human preservation turns human views to the wood material into a higher appreciation especially in this time the wood become scarce in many areas due to the perceived exploitation of human activity itself and it is influence on the balance of the eco system exist on earth. This led to a paradigm change in perspective of the wood that used only as an object (exploitation) simply becomes a subject (appearance) that need to be come out  because it has other background so the wood has a value (value) higher and the award (wood) getting better.

Griya Kriyasta Nugraha and Bintang Fajar Hotel, Yogyakarta, Lecturer University of Islam Indonesia (UII), Yogyakarta, Expert Staff Governor Province of Yogyakarta.
