演讲题目:Research, Education, Industry and Consumer Regarding wood in Turkey
摘要:In this paper I will express Turkey’s current wood situation of different sectors such as research, education, industry and consumer. I will also explain the value and the way people use wood.
Turkey lies in a transitional zone between temperature and tropical belts, and includes continental sections of Asia and the Eastern part of the Mediterranean region. It is a gateway among Europe, the Middle East and the post-Soviet Union countries.
Turkey's imports of forest products have been increasing each year due to its growing construction, furniture, panel products, yacht building and paper industries. Turkey produces 7 million cubic meters (mm3) of logs and 2.5 mm3 of industrial wood annually, while annual demand for logs is around 10 mm3. Turkey, with an annual production of 2.3 mm3, is the number one producer of lumber in Europe.
In Turkey, for education there are seven Industrial Engineering of Forestry Department affiliated to universities known as the Faculty of Forestry. As research topics wood plastic composite, foaming of wood-based polymer composites, liquefaction of wood, liquefied wood-based foam-bakelite-glue, essential oil analysis of plants, analysis of plants extract, production of pulp, waste paper recycling, ink removal from waste paper, the production of cellulosicnano crystal, acidic or enzymatic hydrolysis of biomass for bio-ethanol, pyrolysis of wood and chemical characterization, biological degradation of wood, wood impregnation, particleboard, parallel standard lumber (PSL) and laminated veneer lumber (LVL) compressed wood, fiberboard and fibreboard have examined issues such as.
