摘要：A reed used in saxophone is a tiny part which normally gets unnoticed. Made of Arundo donax cane is the heart of saxophone which is solely responsible for producing magical vibrations that tunes our heart to follow it.

Reed in itself is very unpredictable, so its vital to take great care of it for maintaining its consistency in performance and hence becomes even more important for saxophonist.

This paper highlights the comparison of reeds manufacturing, processing and packaging of globally renounced reed manufacturers with that of Indian reed manufactures and prediction of possibilities of their lagging behind.

Readers will be fascinated to know how a small part of reed tames an instrument, which is a sole of classical and modern music.
