报告摘要:
There are several limitations of applying the conventional TOF (Time of Flight) analysis of ultrasound for NDE (Nondestructive Evaluation) of wooden materials. Normally, only the initial period of arrived ultrasonic signal had been considered which makes it hard to analyze total aspects of ultrasonic signal. Several wood scientists have been paid attention to this and focus on analyzing various ultrasonic parameters such as EV (energy value) and PL (pulse length). However, many of this approaches mainly performed under controlled circumstances which make it hard to applying in NDE of wood in field. And connected parts between wooden members and contacted of hidden part by wall and ceiling of the building make it hard to apply the ultrasonic test. Moreover, it is not effective to apply the visualization technique such as the CT (Computed Tomography) of tested cross-section for the rafter members which have relatively small cross-sectional area and large length. So the test methodology and analyzing criterion must be carefully considered to overcome these limitations of applying ultrasonic test for the NDE of wooden members.
So, the main objectives of this study was establishment of the test methodology and analyzing criterion for the wooden members which is difficult to apply direct way of ultrasonic test. The rafter member was mainly considered as the one representative example. The applicability for field application was carefully considered with developing the ultrasonic system and the high accuracy of the test was tried to be achieved with analyzing the various ultrasonic parameters.
